Observational study maps irrigation channels in Peguyangan Kaja Village, highlighting effective water distribution for agriculture.
Subak is a traditional system the Balinese use to manage and distribute irrigation water channels in agriculture. This system has proven to be very effective in increasing agricultural productivity in Bali. In practice, subak involves a deliberation process between farmers to determine a fair water distribution according to their needs. By using this method, farmers can ensure that water resources are used efficiently and productively, thereby supporting the sustainability and prosperity of the agricultural community in Bali. Surveys and direct observation in the field were carried out as data collection methods. The results of the Subak survey and observations in Peguyangan Kaja Village stated that the Subak channel was still functioning well without any closure or shutdown despite land conversion.
