Theoretical procedures assess reliability in mechanical components, highlighting efficiency and accuracy.
As generally mechanical components and structures are too large for series tests in order to assess their reliability, theoretical procedures have to be used instead. In this paper various procedures such as advanced simulation techniques, etc. are discussed in view of their computational efficiency and accuracy. These methods are then shown as part of an user-friendly software environment which is applied to various practical problems.
