Based on Resource Dependence Theory and Social Network Theory, this study empirically examines the relationship between enterprise digital transformation, network embeddedness and exploratory innovation with a sample of 211 enterprises in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region by using data analysis methods such as hierarchical regression and Bootstrap, and further verifies the moderating effect of environmental uncertainty. The findings show that enterprise digital transformation has a significant positive effect on exploratory innovation, and network Embeddedness is an important path for digital transformation to influence exploratory innovation; the moderating effect of environmental uncertainty on digital transformation for network Embeddedness is not significant, but positively moderates the mediating effect of structural Embeddedness between digital transformation and exploratory innovation. This study provides a new perspective for the study of the intrinsic mechanism of digital transformation affecting exploratory innovation, with a view to providing useful reference for enterprises' digital transformation practice.
