Research on the Scaffolding Teaching Design and Application Based on Deep Learning in College Comprehensive English Teaching

Scaffolding teaching tend to be a learner-centered teaching design which guides and collaborates students' thinking level from the actual level to the potential development level by the use of systematic adoption and the construction of "scaffolding". It provides an essential way to promote college students' deep learning abilities. This paper analyzes the application status of deep learning and scaffolding teaching in comprehensive English teaching, moreover, explores a variety of measures to the depth-based scaffolding learning mode. The results demonstrate that a series of comprehensive English teaching reforms have made significant progress, which can improve college students' deep processing ability of English reading knowledge and critical thinking. At the same time, it can effectively promote English majors to achieve deep learning in the learning process of comprehensive English reading courses.
