Objective: To explore the clinical efficacy of Huici Weiyang in treating cold dampness type lumbar muscle strain.Method: Sixty patients with cold dampness type lumbar muscle strain were selected. The control group was treated with routine acupuncture, while the treatment group was treated with acupuncture on the basis of the control group.Compare the Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Dysfunction Index (ODI), and Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Score (TCMSS) between two groups.Result: At the end of treatment, the VAS score, ODI score, and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome score of both groups were lower than before treatment (P<0.05), but the decrease rate of the treatment group's score and the total clinical effective rate were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion: Both methods are effective in treating cold dampness type lumbar muscle strain, but the effect of Huici Weiyang is more significant in improving the symptoms of patients.
