Cooperation as Part of Cluster Initiativesas an Example of Innovative Activity

The necessity to adapt to fluctuating market conditions caused by the pandemic, increasing inflation and customers’ expectations are only sample challenges facing entrepreneurs. The challenges are changing over time, however, the relations among business and scientific entities and public administration institutions constitute the natural element of business functioning. Running a business connected with current functioning as well as the need of introducing innovations demands from entrepreneurs not only competition but also cooperation with other entities. The cooperation as part of cluster initiatives provides a good example. The aim of the article is to explain the role of clusters and cluster initiatives in the development of innovation processes and the intensification of cooperative connections. The work contains overview of the statistics in a range of innovative activity of enterprises cooperating as part of cluster initiatives over the period of 2017–2021.
