Estudo de Caso acerca das Prestações de Contas do Municipio de Miguel Alves-Piauí.

The representation of the City Hall of Miguel Alves do Piauí as a legal, economic and social entity in public administration is relevant for both the allocation and application of resources. Accountability is mandatory for anyone who uses,collects, keeps or manages public money, assets and values. The aim of this work is to understand the difficulties faced by the municipal accounting sector. Through a single case study, this research sought to identify the influence and importance of communication in accountability. As a result, the following contributions were found: for the preparation and delivery of accountability documentation in a timely manner; seeking specifically verify the causes of constant delays in the delivery of documentation; as well as listing the difficulties of timely delivery; in addition to suggesting effective means to speed up accounting work.
