Purpose: The rapid acquisition system was introduced to accommodate the incorporation of outstanding civilian development technologies while addressing various deficiencies of existing acquisition procedures. The rapid demo project, a type of rapid acquisition system, has been operational since the year 2022. However, due to the absence of detailed test and evaluation (T&D) methods, controversies have arisen regarding project implementation. Therefore, this study aims to propose a solution to this issue.BRMethods: An effective T&D plan for the rapid demo project was formulated by comparing the current research and development project T&D procedures and considering the project characteristics and conditions.BRResults: The 2022 project emphasizes military utilization and operational suitability, while the year 2023 project focuses on required military performance and operational suitability, conducting test evaluations accordingly.BRConclusion: To effectively conduct rapid demo projects, it is essential to analyze project results concurrently with the institutional refinement of T&D processes and promptly integrate these insights into the system.
