As a matter of fact, planet searching plays a critical role in astrophysics and cosmology. This paper focuses on three main methods of planetary search and detection: radial velocity, gravitational microlensing, and transit. First, this study introduces the background and significance of planetary search and detection, pointing out the importance of planetary detection for understanding the origin of the universe and the existence of life. Then, the article describes seven exoplanet detection methods and what they can detect. It explains the principles, instrumentation, and technical details of radial velocity method, transit method, and gravitational microlensing method, and cite some successful cases. Finally, this study looks forward to future directions of planetary search and detection, including the utilization of new observational equipment and techniques to improve detection efficiency and accuracy, and the search for more Earth-like planets and possible life existence. These results offer guideline for advancing the development of planetary detection.
