In this study, the environmental concepts were applied to preserve the environment by utilizing natural materials instead of harmful chemicals to synthesize a nanocomposite comprising quartz sand reinforced with Fe/Zn nanoparticles, wherein eucalyptus leaf extract was utilized as a green antioxidant, thereby eliminating the use of harmful chemicals. The nanocomposite was implemented as an active agent inside a permeable reactive barrier methodology to address the issue of stained groundwater with amoxicillin and lead. Based on the findings of this study, the nanocomposite can be considered a promising reactive agent in the PRB technology for the cleanup of contaminated groundwater.
