Semileptonic charged current decays, particularly b c ^- _ and b u ^- _ processes, have played a pivotal role in testing the foundations of the Standard Model of particle physics. This report presents recent findings from the LHCb experiment, where these decays have been explored to investigate three critical fronts: lepton flavor universality, the pursuit of new physics phenomena beyond the Standard Model, and the precision constraints imposed on the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix elements |V₂₁| and |Vₔ₁|.
