By using STAAD-Pro in Selected Column for a Structure with Diaphragm at Different Levels to Critical Analysis of Column Displacement and Forces-A REVIEW

The effect of irregularities of diaphragms especially in relevance to the different forces and displacement effect is not extensively studied and the available literature does not indicate substantial theoretical base in estimating generation of all forces and displacement in column due to irregularities of diaphragms in the building.Structural engineers have developed confidence in the design of buildings in which the distributions of mass, stiffness and strength are more or less uniform.The Indian standard 1893-2002(I) recommends simple and symmetric configuration from earthquake safety point of view for all Multi-storied building.
