The optimization of solar energy is a critical issue in Malaysia, given the country's location within the Sunbelt and its potential for year-round solar power generation. This research aims to identify the critical success factors for optimizing solar energy in Malaysia. The problem statement is that despite the growing interest in solar energy optimization, there are still challenges in achieving optimal performance and efficiency. This research aims to explore the factors that contribute to the successful integration of solar energy, including proper system sizing and design, high-quality components, monitoring, and maintenance. The research methodology used is qualitative, involving in-depth interviews with industry professionals and installers and a thematic analysis of the data collected. The principal results indicate that regular monitoring and maintenance, technological advancements, and proper system sizing and design are the most critical success factors for optimizing solar energy. The major conclusion is that by prioritizing and investing in regular monitoring and maintenance, solar energy system owners can guarantee peak performance, maximize efficiency, and protect their green energy investment.
