The article is devoted to the structural and semantic analysis of Kazakh and Russian proverbs, reflecting the attitude of Russians and Kazakhs to goodness. The novelty of the study lies in the fact that for the first time the proverbs of this semantic group are considered in the aspect of comparative structural-semantic analysis. The study of these proverbs is very relevant from the point of view of expressing in them the moral and ethical values inherent in both peoples. Analysis of proverbs and sayings made it possible to identify their similarities, based on the universality of human thinking, which is confirmed at the linguistic level.
