This article reveals the problem of forming the moral development of younger schoolchildren in the process of mastering foreign-language dialogic speech. A foreign language has a unique pedagogical potential for the spiritual and moral education of the younger generation. The authors of the study analyze the modern educational process, the peculiarities of the formation of morality in children at primary school age and the relationship between moral development and mastery of foreign language speech. The importance of the axiological aspect of primary foreign language education is emphasized, since it includes a set of moral values, personal qualities, and also forms the moral culture of a younger student. The article also defines the importance and significance of the development of dialogical skills of younger schoolchildren in English lessons. This article may be useful for English teachers in elementary school.
