The primary task of the power system is to supply a sufficient amount of electrical energy at a specific moment to a designated location. It is also crucial to maintain the parameters of electrical energy quality within prescribed technical and legal limits. Reliability, or the continuity of supply, represents the most important aspect of the quality of electricity delivery and is characterized by the frequency and duration of power outages for consumers. This paper examines the reliability of the power system of a real power distribution network owned by "Elektrodistribucija" Pale. The method of calculating reliability indicators is presented, along with suggestions for solutions to be implemented in order to achieve a higher level of reliability of the distribution network and reduce maintenance costs.
