Nonlinear dynamics methods, namely Poicare plots, were used to analyze heart rate variability. It was shown, that some quantitative indexes, calculated from the plots can be used as informative parameters to distinguish between different states of patients. The linear discriminant analisys technique was used for the the patient states classification.
