A helicopter power transmission system is a set of non-redundant power transmission chain and is the skeleton of the helicopter. To ensure the safety of the helicopter, research for the fault diagnosis of its key moving component, the rolling bearings, has great significance. According to the actual requirements of helicopter rolling bearing fault diagnosis, this paper analyzes the three main failure modes of inner ring failure, outer ring failure and rolling body failure, and accordingly determines the state index of rolling bearing fault diagnosis. The failure test pieces of rolling bearing inner ring failure, outer ring failure and rolling body failure are developed, and relevant verification experiments are carried out in the helicopter transmission system failure implantation test bed. By analyzing the collected data, the results show that the state index value and the health state threshold value calculated by using the vibration data of the rolling bearing failure test piece can be obviously distinguished, and can effectively diagnose the rolling bearing inner ring failure, outer ring failure and rolling body failure. The results of the study show that the state indicators are effective in diagnosing the faults of rolling bearings.
