In response to the contradiction between the control accuracy and system efficiency in traditional electro-hydraulic servo systems, this paper proposes a series-connected pump-valve composite control system and investigates the corresponding control strategies. In terms of system positioning control, a positioning error-based switch control strategy is introduced. At the beginning of positioning, the pump control section dominates to reduce system energy consumption. When the positioning error decreases to the set value, it switches to the pump-valve coordinated control state to achieve precise positioning. For dynamic tracking control, a composite control strategy is proposed, where in the pump control section adopts feedforward compensation PI control, and the valve control section adopts PID control. Simulation results indicate that, in terms of positioning control, the switch control strategy based on positioning error can significantly improve the system response speed. In dynamic tracking control, the composite control strategy combining feedforward compensation PI control and PID control enables the system to possess the advantages of high system efficiency and high precision fast response.
