Naturally, It is worth having to our environment and other benefits when the wind power or the synchronous generator penetration level is increasing. However, due to penetration of distributed generator(DG) in the power system, it can effect the stability operation of the rotating machine. The ultimate goal of this study is to identify the voltage collapse point of the hybrid electrical system at different penetration levels of wind power and synchronous generator. The study was implemented on a IEEE 14-Bus test case network by developing a continuous power flow algorithm and by using Newton Rhapson method and Jacobian Matrix as a predictor to compute for the critical point of the system. Analysis shows the impact of adding distributed generators on the system by increasing its load one at a time as well as changing the power factor of DGs independently. P-V curved method is one of the most conventional analysis tool in locating the voltage collapse point of a power system. The curve will indicate the amount of the real power boundary before the point of voltage instability. P-V curved is useful for radial systems. The operating points above the knee point shows the acceptable condition of the power system, below the knee point shows the rapidly voltage drop with the increase in load. Matpower 6.0 was used to generate the PV and V-Q by locating the voltage collapse point of the hybrid system and identification of the weakest bus in the network.
