The concept of the metaverse, a virtual interconnected space, has gained significant adhesion in recent years, promising transformative impacts on various industries such as smart agriculture, smart and green society and many more. The Internet of Things (IoT), and the Metaverse come together to generate a groundbreaking convergence that has the potential to change the agricultural industry. In a controlled environment of smart farming, a network of integrated devices with sensors, software, and internet connectivity enables automation, remote monitoring, and smarter decision-making. Sensors can track soil moisture, forecast weather conditions, and assess the health of crops, all of which can help to maximize agricultural profits. The metaverse can assist the farmers in receiving guidance from SME's (Subject Matter Expertise) in a virtual environment that offers several methods of digitally interacting and experiencing different use cases. This research paper delves into the potential future of the metaverse within the context of smart agriculture, exploring how technological advancements can shape the agricultural landscape. Apart from this, this study also explores that the present Metaverse trend focuses on the education gap that exists now, which may lead to a cooperative effort to bring about significant improvements in the agricultural industry. This study presents a roadmap for the evolution of smart agriculture in the metaverse, highlighting the role of collaboration between technology developers, agricultural experts, and policymakers. This research contributes to the understanding of how the metaverse can revolutionize traditional farming practices, paving the way for more efficient, sustainable, and technologically advanced agricultural systems.
