The project management approach in the software development industry has evolved in the last fifty years from a traditional to an agile approach. The agile approach not only provides better quality software products but also leads to higher customer satisfaction. There are a lot of reports and academic research highlighting the unsuccessful projects rate. The internet and globalisation have increased the amount of data, and organisations have acknowledged the need for data-driven decision-making. From this perspective, studying Agile Business Intelligence (BI) Projects and related success factors is imperative. The study is quantitative and empirical in approach. The current study empirically focuses on understanding the antecedents of Agile BI projects. The results indicate that role top management, effective team communication, frequent evaluation approach and customer satisfaction are important for Agile BI Project success.
