The recent years have witnessed a rapid growth of microscopic techniques for high-speed, large-scale imaging in biological systems. Biological structures are hierarchical and dynamic, which posts challenges to balance the field of view, imaging depth, resolution, speed, and SNR. In this talk, I will first introduce our recent efforts in developing mesoscopic oblique plane microscopy (Meso-OPM) to allow flexible tuning of the imaging scale/resolution, and then introduce the challenges and opportunities for computational augmentations to improve imaging quality, SNR and general image formation.
