The importance of the time-dependent post seismic stress changes due to large earthquakes for the February 6, 2023 Pazarcık and Elbistan earthquakes along the East Anatolian Fault Zone are investigated. We show that previous earthquakes occurred along the North and East Anatolian Fault Zones since 1513 caused stress load along the both earthquakes' rupture segments helping them to rupture in 2023. This positive correlations among the computed background stress changes and the earthquakes underline the significance of the time-dependent Coulomb stress changes in earthquake hazard studies. It is also shown that the stress transferred by the 2023 Pazarcık earthquake triggered the 2023 Elbistan earthquake that occurred 9 hours later.
