In this paper, an SDN-based 5G environment is demonstrated which is designed to enhance security in 5G networks. The system integrates basic containerized 5G network functions with SDNs offering: (i) monitoring modules considering both network and compute resources statistics; (ii) attack detection mechanisms based on both simple statistical and AI models; and (iii) security events modules supporting access control rules establishment. A showcase of the SDN system is presented conducting experiments that involve DoS attack generation, detection and prevention.
