This paper presents the design of low-loss and dispersion-minimized dielectric waveguides (DWGs) of circular cross-section. We give easy-to-use, normalized design charts to find the optimum diameters of DWGs with a solid core or with a hollow core. Based on the introduction of a normalized frequency, the charts can be used for a wide range of frequencies (e.g., between 60 and 300 GHz) and a wide range of dielectric materials for the waveguide's core as well as for the waveguide's cladding. Exemplary DWG designs are given and verified by measurements in <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">W</tex> band and <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">D</tex> band.
