This study addresses a vision data-centric method to enhance NaOH concentration control in roll-to-roll mercerizing systems. Addressing the vital impact of NaOH on textile qualities, this paper proposes a method involving real-time vision data to extract density values of mercerized textiles. By establishing a density range criterion, this approach guides iterative adjustments to NaOH setting values. Application on CM60 and CM40 Single textiles validates the efficacy of the method. The results emphasize the substantial variation in density range based on textile types and conditions, providing a robust framework for precise NaOH feedback control. This study lays a foundation for advancing eco-friendly mercerizing processes and establishing quantitative NaOH control mechanisms to enhance overall efficiency and environmental sustainability.
