Deposition Technologies of Perovskite Layer Enabling Large-Area Photovoltaic Modules

The time of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) commercialization is coming. However, the selection and usage of fabrication technology is still not clear, especially different technologies corresponding to different ranges of area. Therefore, recent technologies with relationship of device area and photovoltaic parameters have been collected. The technology for special range of area has been summarized. The technologies of blade-coating, slot-die and bar coating are suitable for PSCs whose area is greater than or equal to 100 cm². On the other hand, technologies of meniscus-coating, spray-coating and Roll-to-Roll are appropriate for flexible large-area PSCs. Further, the large-area has been redefined as more than 10 cm². Finally, the perspective and conclusion for future and recent large-area perovskite photovoltaics have been provided.
