Background The 2022 ESC/ERS guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension recommend cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) as helpful to detect pulmonary hypertension (PH) and to assess the underlying pathophysiological mechanisms. The purpose of our retrospective study was to investigate whether these CPET parameters still discriminate between healthy individuals and PH patients according to the 2022 newly defined cut-off for mean pulmonary arterial pressure (mPAP)> 20 mmHg.
