Background: In the CheckMate 816 study, neoadjuvant NIVO + chemotherapy showed statistically significant and clinically meaningful improvements in event-free survival (EFS) and pathologic complete response (pCR) vs chemotherapy alone in patients with resectable NSCLC. NIVO + platinum-based chemotherapy is approved in the US and the EU as a neoadjuvant therapy for adult patients with resectable NSCLC (tumors ≥ 4 cm or node-positive) and in the EU as a neoadjuvant therapy for resectable NSCLC at high risk of recurrence in adult patients with tumor PD-L1 expression ≥ 1%. The open-label, prospective, single-cohort, multicenter, non-interventional NENI study aims to evaluate this regimen in clinical practice in Germany.
