The proposed antenna operates in three bands with a single layer patch and is based on a symmetric circular log periodic antenna design that uses a coaxial feed with a shape of a rectangle whose size is the same as the central connection of the antenna. It resonates at 3 frequencies that correspond to the Indian Regional Navigational Satellite System (IRNSS) application. The frequencies are 1176.45Mega Hertz (L5 Band) , 1575.42Mega Hertz (L1 Band) and 2492.08Mega Hertz (S-Band). To make the stream more flexible, we can change one dimension at a time using the rectangular coaxial cable. Using the idea of circular symmetric log periodic antenna with rectangular coaxial cable, we were able to implement the Tri-Band antenna in a single layer patch.
