This study compared the treatment efficiency, total organic carbon(TOC) removal rate and power consumption of tetracycline antibiotics((tetracycline(TC) and oxytetracycline(OTC)) using Microwave-AOP and TiO₂-AOP among AOP methods. As a result of the decomposition test of TC and OTC using Microwave-AOP, 90.1 % of TC and 96.9 % of OTC were decomposed in the 20-minute reaction. In the decomposition using TiO₂-AOP, 79.1 % of TC and 83.9 % of OTC were decomposed during the 180 min reaction time. In the comparison of TOC removal efficiency, the removal efficiency was 1.6 times higher when applying Microwave-AOP than TiO₂-AOP during 180 min treatment time. In the comparison of power consumption through EE/O(Electrical Enerny per order) calculation, higher EE/O than OTC was required when TC was decomposed, and the TiO₂-AOP application could be saved 8.6 to 11 times compared to Microwave-AOP. Both microwave-AOP and TiO₂-AOP processes are considered applicable to the decomposition of TC and OTC, and TiO₂-AOP is considered to be advantageous in terms of power consumption and microwave-AOP in terms of decomposition efficiency and time.
