The rapid integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in various industries has prompted an examination of its impact on operational efficiency within the Chinese manufacturing context. As the manufacturing landscape evolves, the need to understand how AI influences operational processes becomes paramount for sustained competitiveness. This study employs a descriptive research design to investigate the relationship between AI implementation and operational efficiency in 100 manufacturing firms within the textile manufacturing sector. The study targets the heads of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in each firm as primary respondents. Data was collected through structured questionnaires distributed via Google Forms, capturing insights into the current state of AI adoption, perceived benefits, and challenges faced by manufacturing firms in the textile sector. The analysis utilized descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis to identify the extent to which AI contributes to enhanced operational efficiency. The research reveals a consistently positive correlation and a robust statistical significance between AI and enhanced operational efficiency, supported by high mean scores, strong model fitness results, and significant regression coefficients. The findings emphasize the strategic importance of AI technologies in optimizing various facets of manufacturing processes. Conclusively, the study underscores the need for continuous investments in AI research and development, the enhancement of ICT leaders' capabilities, and ongoing workforce skill development to fully capitalize on the benefits of AI adoption. Recommendations center on aligning AI technologies with evolving operational needs, addressing data security concerns, and promoting timely decision-making processes.
