Jack support refers to a construction device that combines a jack device with the function of pushing based on mechanical principles or operation and a support member that supports the load. It is widely used during construction, reinforcement, and dismantling of structures for the purpose of distributing the upper load. Current commercially available jack supports are considerably heavy. Therefore, their constructability and safety are extremely poor in sites where installation and disassembly are manually performed. In addition, extensive damage, such as twisting or bending, occurs at the joints that connect pipes. Hence, the problem must be solved. In this study, the problems were addressed by reducing the weight of the jack support, and the details of the fastener were developed to ensure excellent performance in bending and buckling. All members were developed as modular such that they could be easily moved manually for assembly and disassembly. Performance tests were conducted by manufacturing a prototype, and the test results confirmed that the failure load was greater than the design load.
