Reducing the Bullwhip Effect Through Blockchain in Supply Chains: An Analysis Through Technology Acceptance Model

Blockchain technology (BT) is the new mechanism that is currently used in supply chain by companies these days. In this paper, we study the importance of BT for supply chain through the adoption of technology acceptance model (TAM). Based on an online survey of 389 respondents, through stratified sampling techniques in the UAE. The study found that perceived ease of use (PEOU) has an insignificant effect on perceived value (PU). Also, attitude to use (ATT) BT for supply chain has a no impact on intention to use (INT). However, PEOU and PU have a significant influence on ATT, and PU furthermore influences the INT. This is one of preliminary research on BT adaptation in the supply chain in the UAE, and the results suggest that supply chain practitioners should integrate BT with supply chain for improved service.
