This research aims to use the factor certainty method in a desktop-based expert system application to diagnose infectious diseases in cattle. In this research, the certainty factor method is applied to an expert system application to diagnose bovine infectious diseases based on disease symptoms in cows. The result of this research is that a desktop-based expert system can provide information and diagnose symptoms of infectious diseases in cattle according to the questions asked by the expert system and symptoms of disease in cattle. Based on a sample of three calculations of disease symptoms, it was concluded that Anthrax had the highest percentage value, 93.6%. The percentage may change according to the CF weight of the selected disease symptoms.
