The article examines an important aspect of modern pedagogy,namely the influence of public organizations on the formation ofhealth-saving competencies, using the example of work with the adultpopulation in the United States of America. The retrospective oforganizations promoting health and raising the level of healthawareness among citizens was analyzed. The paper analyzes theinteraction of public structures with the adult population aimed at thedevelopment of health care skills. The study highlights the trainingmethods and educational initiatives used by organizations to supportindividuals in adopting a proactive attitude towards their health. Healthcare competences acquired by the adult population in interaction withpublic organizations are considered as an important element of selfdevelopmentand social adaptation of the adult population. Theidentified positive aspects of the American experience can serve as abasis for improving pedagogical strategies in the field of health care forthe adult population in Ukraine.
