This research paper explores The impact of poverty on education in India.Poverty is one of the characteristics of marginalized groups. Most of the marginalized groups are poor.Poverty, hunger, malnutrition, illiteracy, non-respect are their constant companions. They are not residents of the state. They have no education, health, job, security of life, shelter, happiness.Due to extreme poverty, the basic necessities of life remain excusive to them.So education or the right to education is unrealistic for them. There are many factors that influence student growth and development.Like-heredity, environmental factors, social factors, economic factors, Poverty etc.We will discuss here only Poverty that play an important role on education in India. These include lack of opportunities, deprivation, family instability or chaos, poor quality surroundings, inappropriate home environment. It is natural that 'poverty' affects an individual's development or family instability also affects an individual's development. We will discuss on Poverty how affect other factors of education in India.
