This analysis demonstrates how different management practices influence sustainability of macro nutrients in alluvial soils, indicating the importance of organic fertilizers.
The study area was selected in the soils located in the Abu Ghraq district of Babylon Governorate, which extends between longitudes 44° 17′ 57.074″ to 44° 24′ 42.112″ east and latitudes 32° 23′ 45.225″ to 32° 36′ 18.116″ north.. The area of the area is 25026.38 ha. This area was selected for its diversity in the management Practices used. The available of soil nutrients for macroelements was studied according to the management Practice used in two series of soils, namely the Alluvial series DW45 and the Alluvial series TM1265 that was chosen according to the study previous study, which is classified according to proposal to classify the Iraqi Alluvail. The results showed that the values of available nitrogen increased significantly in both series, as their values reached 36.66 mg N kg −1 soil for the DW45 soil series, and for the same Practice, but for the TM1265 series, they reached 46.57 mg N kg −1 soil, while the values of the fertilizer type and both series reached 33.72 and 40.48 mg N kg −1 soil by management Practice for the type of organic fertilizer in sequence, as the soils that follow a good management system represented by drip irrigation Practice, type of organic fertilizer and vegetable crop, their combination has a major role in increasing the organic matter in the soil and its reflection on increasing the available of these nutrients and their sustainability.
