Analysis of vehicle-switch coupling dynamics and suppression technology in maglev systems highlights effective vibration control.
The switch is a weak link in magnetic levitation transportation lines. Due to the light weight, low damping, and weak constraints of the switch beam, strong vehicle-switch coupling vibrations have been observed in both domestic and international engineering practices. Based on the structural parameters of the magnetic levitation vehicles and switch beams on the Qingyuan Maglev Tourism Line, this study uses multi-body dynamics software to establish a multi-rigid body dynamics model of the maglev vehicle and finite element software to build an active beam model of the maglev switch. The natural vibration characteristics of the switch beam are analyzed, and the vehicle-switch coupling dynamic response is simulated at speeds of 20 km/h. Furthermore, a tuned mass damper for the maglev switch is designed, and on-site experiments are conducted. The results show that the damper effectively suppresses vibrations in the maglev switch.
