Heat transfer analysis reveals key influences on fuel temperature in civil aircraft, suggesting airworthiness implications.
Fuel temperature in civil aircraft is an important parameter for fuel tank flammability assessment, which is affected by different factors. In this paper, the heat transfer analysis of civil aircraft fuel tanks is carried out to study the influence of different factors on fuel temperature during the cruise phase. Taking the civil aircraft wing fuel tank as an example, according to the airworthiness requirements, a coupled heat transfer model of internal and external heat sources of the wing fuel tank is established, and the effects of differe+nt factors on the fuel temperature change during the cruise phase are comparatively analyzed under the influence of different factors such as solar radiation, ambient temperature, flight speed, fuel pump efficiency and fuel consumption rate. The results show that ambient temperature and flight speed have a greater influence on fuel temperature, and the overall influence degree is in the following order: ambient temperature > flight speed > fuel consumption rate > fuel pump efficiency > solar radiation. The calculation results of this paper have certain reference significance for the thermal analysis and airworthiness validation of aircraft fuel tanks.
