Experiments demonstrate mechanical destruction in polyacrylamide solutions across two pipeline circuits, suggesting impacts on circulation.
The dynamics of the decrease in the hydrodynamic effectiveness of aqueous solutions of polyacrylamide with mass concentrations of C equals from 5 to 300 ppm during their circulation in two independent pipeline circuits with internal diameters of D = 68 mm of the first circuits and D = 20.95 mm of the second one, equipped with centrifugal pumps, is presented. With an increase in the number of circulations of the polymer solution through the pipes and their local hydraulic drags, the mechanical destruction of the solution increased. From experiments obtained data are in good approximation with the dependence known from the literature.
