Quasi-experimental study shows significant improvement in learning outcomes for students using lapbook media, indicating its effectiveness over traditional methods.
This study aims to determine the effect of using lapbook media on the IPAS learning outcomes of third-grade students at SD Negeri 106184 Sekip Lubuk Pakam. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design. The population in this study consisted of 26 third-grade students. The sample used in this study consisted of two classes, IIIA and IIIB. Class IIIA was grouped into the experimental class (13 students) using lapbook, while class IIIB was grouped into the control class (13 students) using IPAS package book. The data collected were pretest and posttest data. The data analysis technique used was quantitative descriptive. The hypothesis testing method used was t-test analysis. Based on the t-test calculation results, tcount = 2.84 was greater than ttable = 1.71 (tcount > ttable). This indicates that this study successfully proved that the use of lapbook on IPAS learning outcomes on the material of the life cycle of animals is more effective and has a significant effect than package book, namely 8.77.
