Research reveals the impact of lattice depth and saturation on surface soliton stability in nonlinear mediums, suggesting potential applications in optical systems.
We study surface solitons in coupled nonlinear equations with two lattices of different modulation depths. The results show that the saturation parameter s, linear coupling constant κ, and lattice depth pᵣ have significant effects on the amplitude, presence domain, and stability of the fundamental, two-peak and three-peak solitons. The stability of surface solitons is studied by linear stability analysis and real-time evolution methods. The stability domain of the surface soliton decreases with the increase of lattice depth pᵣ and saturation parameter s in the interval of soliton existence. However, the stability domain of the soliton increases when the linear coupling constant κ increases.
