This investigation reveals how eccentric compression impacts structural behavior of UHPFRC columns, highlighting key strength factors.
Eccentric compression behavior is a crucial structural performance of ultra-high-performance fiber- reinforced concrete (UHPFRC) columns. This study comprehensively investigates UHPFRC columns under eccentric compression load through numerical simulation. The numerical model considering the initial imperfection accurately captured the structural response, within a ±10% margin of experimental results. The numerical results indicate that the structural behavior of UHPFRC columns is sensitive to eccentricity, tensile strength and compressive strength of UHPFRC. The numerical peak loads were compared with those obtained from the theoretical models, yielding an average ratio of calculated peak load to numerical result of 0,95.
