Observational analysis highlights the comet tail and crow’s feet signs in rounded atelectasis, suggesting increased awareness is vital.
A BSTRACT Rounded atelectasis is a benign condition that closely mimics malignancy on chest imaging. Also known as folded lung, it represents a form of parenchymal collapse secondary to pleural thickening that commonly occurs at periphery in dorsal part of lower lobe. Recognizing its characteristic features, especially the comet tail and crow’s feet signs, is essential to prevent unnecessary invasive procedures. Awareness among clinicians and radiologists is crucial for accurate diagnosis and management.
