Qualitative analysis reveals aluminum recycling boosts socio-environmental sustainability, indicating significant energy savings and effective waste management practices.
Objective: This study explores the contribution of aluminum recycling to socio-environmental sustainability, from the standpoint of circular economy and environmental management. Method: This study employed a qualitative research methodology through a literature review on aluminum recycling, circular economy, and socio-environmental sustainability. Content analysis techniques were applied to the data to identify patterns, trends, and significant relationships. Results and Discussion: This study shows that adopting Solid Waste Management Practices (SWMP) can recover up to 98% of waste, significantly cut operational costs, and boost a company's image for environmental responsibility. Aluminum recycling is an environmentally and economically smart way to cut down on environmental damage. It saves up to 95% of the energy needed to produce new aluminum and significantly lowers CO₂ emissions. The study highlights energy savings, reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, and waste management practices.
