Experimental analysis identifies hydraulic pipe leaks using vibration signals, suggesting improved fault detection algorithms.
As a core component of hydraulic systems, the normal operation and absence of leakage of hydraulic pipes significantly impact the overall performance of the system. Early-stage leakage in hydraulic pipes often presents with vibration signals that are weak and susceptible to background noise, making it challenging to extract fault characteristics. Since single decomposition methods can fail to identify or accurately identify certain frequencies, this paper proposes a combined approach using Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (EEMD) and Wavelet Packet Transform (WPT) to extract fault features. Experimental comparisons with actual working conditions show that this algorithm can accurately identify the characteristic quantities of hydraulic pipe leaks, to effectively prevent such issues in practical applications.
