With the aim of studying the physics of cD galaxies observed at the centers of rich galaxy clusters, we collected observational data and created a catalog consisting of 660 objects. A statistical analysis of this catalog was carried out. In particular, histograms of the physical parameters of cD galaxies and graphs showing the interrelation of their characteristics were constructed. The analysis of the obtained results shows that cD galaxies are primarily elliptical, though to a lesser extent they can also be lenticular and spiral galaxies. Empirical relationships were found, such as the dependence of their age on the corresponding redshift values.
