Analysis highlights neutron-deficient p-nuclei formation from photonuclear reactions, suggesting roles in nuclear astrophysics.
At present, 35 neutron-deficient so-called bypassed p-nuclei from74Se to196Hg are known, which cannot be formed in s- and r-processes. Their formation is possible in photonuclear reactions of the ( γ, n), ( γ, p) or ( γ,α) type. In this regard, data on photoneutron reactions play an important role in predicting and describing the processes of p-nucleus formation. In this work, the excitation cross-sections of isomeric states in the ( γ, n) reactions on80,82Se in the energy range of 11–35 MeV are investigated by the induced activity method. The experimental results are compared with calculations performed using the TALYS-1.6 software package.
